Panasonic GPKS822CU

Panasonic GPKS822CU CONTROL UNIT F/1/2 MICROHEAD DSP CAMERA CONTROL UNIT

I was amazed at the clarity and the excellent colors of my vacation photos displayed on my Model PhotoFrame 10.2" LCD 10FF2M4/27.
Professionally printed high quality photos could not have better shown the rich detail and vibrant colors. The photographs of the blue water of the lake where we boated and the majestic mountains jutting out against the Utah sky were so sharp and clear. It was as if you were looking out a window instead of seeing the scenes displayed on a digital photo frame. The very high pixel density of the screen presented my digital pictures with rich detail and very striking colors.

I found the automatic landscape/portrait recognition feature (there is a sensor that recognized the orientation and displays photos in the proper mode) to be most helpful as I viewed my pictures. I didn't have to keep cocking my head, one side then the other, since none of the pictures were displayed on their side or upside down.

If you like to tinker with your pictures like I do, then the PhotoEffect Wizard in the unit lets you rotate, zoom in, crop and even adjust photo color tones to black & white or sepia right within the unit.

That is not the only cool thing you can do. The Smart Album allows you to create and manage albums, as well as to set up and adjust transition effects to your photo slideshows.

I have a couple of memory cards for my camera so I don't get caught in the middle of my vacation (in the middle of nowhere) without memory space for more photos. This Philips model can read two memory cards at the same time via its internal memory card readers, and SmartCopy software helps you to copy your digital pictures from one memory card to the other one. The software automatically resizes and compresses the copied photos to maximize the amount of photos you can store internally or externally. The (128MB) internal memory of the unit will store about a thousand (1000) photos.

My favorite feature of this model is it's versatility in how I can view my pictures. I can look at my photos one picture at a time when I want to study details, displays an array of thumb nail pictures when I am trying to find a particular one, or I can set it on the mantle, start up a slide show, and relax while reminiscing over places I have been and things I have seen and done.

Since the unit operates on AC or onboard rechargeable battery power, I have the choices of plugging it into a standard AC power outlet when I am home or using it cordlessly with the onboard rechargeable battery when I want to share my pictures and no power is available.

If you are looking for a digital photo frame, check out Philips Model PhotoFrame 10.2" LCD 10FF2M4/27. It may be what you are looking for. I really enjoy mine.
The quality and features of the digital picture frame continue to advance and Philips is one of the leaders in the industry.
